Construction Day 2008

The School Street garden began its new life in August 2008, just a few days before the start of the school year.  In October, a capable crew of parents and students spent their Sunday clearing the planters, constructing raised beds, hauling and shoveling topsoil, and spreading woodchips.

Thanks to the following parents and students for their labors:  Chris and Jack Donohoe, Carl and Clayton Ray, Mike and Tyler Quinn, Erick and Marina Sturm, Norman Levy, Shawn Kelly, David, Laura, Emery and Cyrus LeRoy, Leslie Tedsen,  Dan Ramar, Tom and Andy O'Rourke, Dan Hill, and Erin Clark.

We also thank the local businesses that donated materials and plants for the garden, particularly Big Creek Lumber and Scarborough Lumber.
